When the mind is wandering
The wishes of men come forth
Looking for traits found pondering
The Essence of Beauty.

While looks are only skin deep
There are many beautiful things
Found in the heart of women
Waiting for the right one to tend and reap.

Am I the one? Will I feel
The tender perfection this one personifies
While this is not seen by all
It is felt in this heart today, from head to heel.

Distance grows, the thoughts become naught
I turn and look, as the path starts to wither
And I sit quietly, lost in my thoughts
Pondering all the times I thought I found
